All of a Sudan

OCTOBER 18 / Hunterwood

Our service team is now on the ground outside of Khartoum, Sudan, gearing up for the P114 install!

It seems like it's only been a few days since we left... but here we are again, back in Sudan! This time our crew has travelled to the middle of the arid countryside, just a little bit outside the capital of Khartoum, to install our 114th forage compression unit, a beautiful  Full Capacity Export Press FC7700. Capable of producing up to 30MT/hour of compressed hay.

Khartoum the city is estimated to have a population of over 5 million people! Incredible to image for somewhere that is essentially right in the middle of the desert!

Sudan Desert Buildings

And it may be in the middle of the desert, but  Sudan is taking a hard line on reclaiming some desert! Privately and publicly, Sudan is now home to some of the most extensive desert irrigation programs in Africa. Supplied by the confluence of the White and Blue Nile rivers, the irrigation systems will be some of the largest in the world.

Sudan Irrigation

The good news for Hunterwood, is that the majority of the irrigated lands are growing forage for resale and export! Our clients utilize Hunterwood forage compression units to make their shipments more affordable, and when you have to ship from the middle of the desert, every pound counts!
